Synthetic Silver Ion Exchanged Molecular Sieve

Ag 400 Zeolite is a synthetic silver-ion-exchanged molecular sieve designed for hydrogen removal in low-temperature vacuum equipment, offering superior performance characteristics. It also possesses the capability to selectively remove halogens from gas streams and facilitates catalytic reactions involving hydrogen and oxygen. 

This inorganic aluminosilicate material features a "supercage" crystal structure with uniform pore sizes. These pores possess open entrances that allow for the capture of large quantities of various contaminants, thereby enabling the exchanged silver cations to fully exert their intended function. 

Ag 400 is primarily utilized within low-temperature vacuum vessels to remove hydrogen that slowly outgasses from materials such as stainless steel, carbon steel, and thermal insulation, thereby ensuring the maintenance of an ultra-high vacuum within the vessel.
