Structure and Function of Room-Temperature Adsorbents:

The Ag 400 structure consists of an inorganic aluminosilicate salt featuring a crystalline structure with uniform "super-cages" (large pores). These pores possess open entrances, enabling them to capture a wide variety of contaminants in large quantities, thereby facilitating the full utilization of the exchanged silver cations' capabilities.

Ag 400 is a synthetic silver-ion-exchanged molecular sieve with excellent performance characteristics for removing hydrogen from low-temperature vacuum equipment. It also possesses the capability to selectively remove halogens (fluorine, chlorine, bromine, and iodine) from gas streams, as well as to facilitate catalytic hydrogen-oxygen reactions.
